Hello I’m Dawn Robson.
I have a varied role in college and am part of the Family Support & Safeguarding Teams. I also chair Annual review meetings for Years 11, 12, 13 and 14 students.
I am a qualified careers adviser and give careers guidance to students allowing them more time to think about their future while providing support to help them with their choices.
I am involved with supporting transition from school into college as well as from college into post 19 providers. I support young people and their parents and carers arrange visits to college, help with application forms and provide support with interviews.
I am currently working on 19+ provision development that will be called Willow Green, and hopefully will begin in 2018.
Hello I’m Claire Perrins
Since commencing my employment in 1993 each of my job roles has involved providing support to individuals with additional needs either directly or in a commissioning role.
I have been working in the Warrington area for the past 8 years and as such have developed good networks and a strong understanding of the local offer from both an educational and support services prospective.
I have a vast knowledge of the specialist education provision available across the UK which is vital to enable me to appropriately assist parent/carers and young people in their decision making as to their options.
The purpose of my role is to act as an expert for the college in managing the transition process ensuring that appropriate provision is available which meets the needs of the young person and their family whilst at the same time supporting the college goal of full participation and successful outcomes upon transition into adulthood.
