The Café and Retail course focuses on students taking part in a variety of activities related to handling stock, cooking, sales and customer service. Our course runs from The Bungalow providing a cafe service where we sell lunches to staff on a daily basis. Students develop their life skills by shopping for stock, preparing ingredients, cooking and serving meals. Completing the course enables students to develop their functional numeracy and literacy skills, undertake practical household tasks which they can transfer to home and learn how to communicate appropriately in a variety of social and professional situations.
