31st August 2021
Dear Parents / Guardians,
Update on arrangements – September 2021
We are very much looking forward to welcoming students back to college on Friday 3rd September and are aiming to return to as much normality as possible, however we will take caution where necessary following the Government Guidance regarding COVID 19.
With no significant changes in National Guidance over the summer break we are now able to confirm arrangements for the start of the new term. Whilst we want to reassure parents that staff and students safety remain our number one priority we are pleased that this academic year will commence with the gradual easing of some restrictions that were in place last year.
College Day & Transport
The official college start time is 9:00am and the finish time is 3.15pm. Due to the uncertainty of the current situation there will be some flexibility with arrival and departure times.
For students accessing transport, the list and contracts have been organised and are ready. If your son/daughter is on transport from September, you should have been contacted by them with the arrangements.
We ask that parents bringing in their own son/daughter arrive to the front of the college building at 9:00am. A member of staff will marshal the car park so please follow their guidance in order to keep our students and staff safe. In the afternoon we ask parents to collect at the front of college at 3:15pm.
We have been working hard to ensure our students are supported when they return in September and we will continue to offer our full curriculum. Students will be able to move around the college to access specialist facilities and rooms.
As a college, we will continue to wear masks at pick up and drop off times, as well as when walking outside of classroom spaces.
Guidance does suggest that students are advised to wear a mask on transport to and from college so please send your son/daughter with a mask and they will be supported by the escorts.
We will be requesting that all external visitors to our college wear a face mask at all times.
Please may we remind all parents/carers that Lateral Flow Testing will need to recommence on Sunday 29th August, twice weekly, until further notice.
Students will be taught within their classes for most of the college day as normal, but there will be times during the week that bubbles will meet and this will allow students to be with their friends and to socialise. We will be continuing with the break time arrangements as we did in the Summer Term, with split break times and lunch times within designated bubbles.
If you have any concerns with these arrangements then please contact us at college.

We use first party and third party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Services to operate, and we refer to these as “essential” cookies. Other cookies enable us and the third parties we work with to track and target the interests of visitors to our Services, and we refer to these as “advertising” or “analytical” cookies. For example, the embedding of YouTube and Vimeo videos, as added by individual schools, will require “advertising” cookies to be enabled in order to successfully play them. Schools that, for example, opt to track visitor data using Google Analytics will require “analytical” cookies to be enabled in order to do so. These third party cookies are used to tailor content and information that we may send or display to you and otherwise personalise your experience while interacting with our Services and to otherwise improve the functionality of the Services we provide. We also enable schools to employ cookies and similar tracking technologies in connection with their use of our Services in order to allow them to track visitors to and interactions with their school website.
Our Services allows schools to embed code which may potentially contain cookies. Please note embedded content, if displayed on one of our websites, has been added by the school and not by eSchools. The embedded content added by the school may require additional cookies or tracking technologies to be enabled in order to function.
