Oi Listen! at the Gateway

Wednesday, December 19, 2018

The ‘Oi Listen’ group enjoyed another interesting visit to the Pyramid and the Gateway Centre. We had a tour of the Pyramid and Pip explained what all the different areas are used for, Emily has performed here many times with her dance groups. We used the café in the Gateway and were very interested in the exhibition of World War I soldiers from Stockton Heath, which has been compiled by children from Stockton Heath primary schools. We had a good look around Pip’s office and the room where she runs some of her other groups from.

Kidz to Adultz Expo at EventCity, Manchester

Monday, November 19, 2018

Jackie and Anne went along to this exhibition with their English group in November, to see what’s new in terms of equipment and resources. The students had a great time collecting ‘freebies’, as lots of stands were giving away wristbands, sweets, trolley tokens, bags and pens! We said ‘hello’ to our friends from the Wingate and Barnstondale stands, where we go on our Duke of Eduinburgh residentials. We also saw Emma (one of our T.A’s) and her son Thomas, (a former student) and had a chat to them. We had a great afternoon out, the students, as always, were a credit to the College with their impeccable behaviour and lovely manners. Plenty to write about in next week’s lesson!
